ISU Balloon Air Traffic Control Experiment

The ISU Balloon Air Traffic Control Experiment is carried out by an interdisciplinary team of postgraduate students at the International Space University in Strasbourg, France.The experiment will be flown on the upcoming BEXUS 10/11 stratospheric balloon flight opportunity, organized jointly by the European Space Agency (ESA), the German Space Agency (DLR) and the Swedish National Space Boad (SNSB). The goal of the experiment is to provide proof of concept for Air Traffic Control from Space using Automatic-Dependent Surveillance (ADS-B) beacons broadcasted by civilian aircraft.
